The Mississippi Delta Family Medicine Residency Commitment

As the first of our core principles, providing the best patient care we possibly can to an under served population is part of our founding mission. MDFMRP seeks to not only provide primary care to the residents of the Mississippi Delta, but also to bring new and needed services to the area, such as increased access to women's health and contraceptive services.  

The third of our core principles is community engagement.  Our residents will graduate as excellent clinicians, with a solid educational base, AND an understanding and experience in what it takes to connect to a community.  Through this experience, we will aim to train physicians that can meet their patients where they are and grow to understand their social and medical needs.
